The Research Group on Discrete Mathematics, at the Department of Computer Engineering
and Mathematics of the Rovira i Virgili University, was founded in 2008 by
Dr. Juan Alberto Rodríguez Velázquez, to support basic research on the interface between discrete mathematics and computing.
This group focuses on problems in graph theory and combinatorics. Specific projects include: domination and alliances in graphs,
metric basis and the metric dimension, topological indices, spectral graph theory and complexity theory.
