ACIA: Associació Catalana d'Intel·ligència Artificial

The Associació Catalana d'Intel·ligència Artificial is a non profit association for the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Catalan society, founded in 1994. Its main goal is to support communication between the persons and the organisations involved in AI and promote social, cultural, scientific, economic and governmental awareness. ACIA is a member of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) Dr. Aïda Valls is currently member of the ACIA board. She also served as was vice-president from 2014 to 2018.

EUSFLAT: European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology

EUSFLAT is a non-profit European society devoted to promote and disseminate the methods, techniques and developments of Fuzzy Logic and related technologies. Founded in 1999, EUSFLAT encourages the scientific communication and collaboration among its members, organizing, promoting and sponsoring conferences, workshops and seminars. The society advises associates and companies on subjects regarding Fuzzy Logic and it is a member of the International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA) representing the European researchers at the IFSA council.

EWG-MCDA: Multiple Criteria Decision Aiding

EWG-MCDA is one of the working groups of EURO (Association of European Operational Research Societies). The Group was founded in 1975 by Bernard Roy. The main objectives of the group are to contribute to the development, at a European level, of an original way of thinking in the field of multicriteria decision aiding and to keep the group alive and open by means of bi-annual meetings which should not be mini-conferences but real meetings favourable to exchanges and to the emergence of new ideas. We belong to this group since 2000.

Xartec Salut

Xartec Salut network, led by CREB UPC, is made up of 81 Catalan research groups that belong to 23 different institutions. It is funded by the Catalan Government. It aims to be a catalyst for R+D+I in the field of HealthTech by: Fostering the exchange of knowledge between research groups, institutions, hospitals and companies; Promoting company creation and new career opportunities; Offering more efficient instruments for technology transfer. ITAKA joins this network in 2023.

Xarxa RDI-IA

This innovation network started in 2023 and it is funded by the Catalan Government. It promotes research, development and transfer of technology of the groups that deploy Artificial Intelligence tools. It is coordinated by the Computer Vision Center (CVC-UAB). Its activity will start soon.

Recommender Systems (originally Red temática española de investigación en sistemas de recomendación)

It is coordinated by University of Jaen and funded by the Spanish Program to Promote the Scientific-Technical Research and Transfer 2021-2023. Focused on facilitating joint research activities in the field of intelligent systems for personalized recommendation of products. It's activity will start soon.
